On April 29, 2025 (Baishakh 16, 2082), Federation of Women with Disabilities Nepal (FWDN) organized a “Capacity Building Training on Disability, Historical Development, and Rights-Based Approaches for Women with Disabilities and Their Parents” at Imadol, Lalitpur, with the support of Women Fund Asia and in collaboration with one of the member organization of FWDN Jal Disabled Society, Lalitpur.
20 women from various organizations of persons with disabilities in Lalitpur district participated in the orientation. Program was chaired by the President of the Federation, Miss Nirmala Dhital. The main objective of the program was to empower women with disabilities and their parents to understand the historical development of disability-related thinking, a rights-based approach, and their role in building an inclusive society.
