FWDN with the financial support from Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) and Policy Advocacy Network against violence against women and girls (PANAV) organized an Inception meeting with the stakeholders for the Preparation of Policy Guideline on Referral to address the violence against girls and Women on 13th July, 2025 (Asar 29, 2082) at the premises of Mahalaxmi Municipality, Imadol, Lalitpur.
The meeting aimed to initiate coordination with the Municipality for the preparation of a Policy Guideline with key referral to address violence against women and girls. Deputy Mayor Ms. Laxmi Maharjan and other municipal stakeholders welcomed the initiative and assured full support in the process. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of a locally relevant, inclusive, and practical guideline. The meeting marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to strengthen local response and prevention mechanisms. Municipality has also responded positively regarding the formation of Disability Coordinating Committee which hasn’t been formed till date.
